FIBER FLEX

Field of application: for insulating and sealing surfaces (floors and walls) against moisture and water in permanently wet or moisture-affected rooms (places). It is used for waterproofing of concrete, plastered, gypsum surfaces, plasterboard, OSB panels under ceramic tiles and other finishing materials in showers, bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, terraces, balconies and similar places. Suitable for insulating heated floors and other surfaces heated up to 80°C. Please note that FIBER FLEX cannot be used as a finishing coating. The formed insulating film must be covered with another mechanically resistant coating that does not damage the film, e.g. ceramic tiles or similar For indoor and outdoor work.

Features: bluish color, ready for use, thanks to the synthetic fiber, it is particularly elastic, strong, and adheres well to mineral building materials and acrylic insulating materials. Does not adhere to silicone, polyethylene materials. Mild, specific odour.

Surface preparation: the base must be clean, solid, degreased. Fill cracks, seams, dents and other defects with a solid cement mixture. Small crack no need to be filled. The surface can be rough: it is not recommended to putty plaster, gypsum plaster boards. Inner and outer corners must be rounded. If the surface may crack, the entire surface or known critical areas, as well as corners where rounding is impossible (partitions, wall and floor joints, etc.), are reinforced using the elastic PRO reinforcement tape. FIBER FLEX can be applied at least 28 days after concreting the floor. Highly water water-absorbing surfaces prime with 10-20% water-diluted FIBER FLEX.

Working conditions: the base and ambient temperature during work and drying must be at least +5°C; optimum conditions are at +20°C and 65% RH.

Use: mix FIBER FLEX well before use, do not dilute. Apply FIBER FLEX to the corners and joints of different surfaces and press the PRO reinforcement tape to the adhesive surface. FIBER FLEX is recommended to be applied on the surface 3-4 times. When applying the first layer, rub FIBER FLEX strongly into the surface with a hard brush, this is especially important when waterproofing is applied to rough surfaces (plaster, concrete). Apply other layers evenly in different directions with a soft brush or roller. The second layer can be applied at least 2 hours after the first layer is applied, and the other layers should be applied no more frequently than every 4 hours. Glueing ceramic tiles or other coatings on the formed and dried waterproofing can be done after 16 hours from the last layer application.

Consumption: 0,7 – 1,5 kg/m² applying three layers.

Drying time: at +20°C and 65% relative air humidity: the first layer at least 2 hours, second and other layers at least 4 hours.

Cleaning of tools: wash the tools with water immediately after use.

Storage and carriage conditions: at least + 5ºC and not higher than +30°C in a tightly closed container. Protect from direct sunlight and freezing!  

Environmental and work safety: do not pour into drains, water reservoirs or soil. Avoid breathing vapor/aerosol. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. If swallowed, immediately call a poison control center or doctor. Keep away from children.

Volatile organic compounds: 1.1.9i) the VOC threshold limit – 140 g/l. The maximum in ready to use product no more than 139,95 g/l.
