About product
Description

Field of application: for insulating and sealing surfaces (floors and walls) against moisture and water in permanently wet or moisture-affected rooms (places). It is used for waterproofing of concrete, plastered, gypsum surfaces, plasterboard, OSB boards under ceramic tiles and other finishing materials in showers, bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, terraces, balconies and similar places. Suitable for insulating heated floors and other surfaces heated up to 80°C. Please note that HYDROISOLATION K1 cannot be used as a finishing coating. The formed insulating film must be covered with another mechanically resistant coating that does not damage the film, e.g. ceramic tiles or similar For indoor and outdoor work.

Properties: ready-to-use, flexible, good adhesion to mineral building materials and acrylic insulating materials. Does not adhere to silicone, polyethylene materials. Weak, specific smell. As it dries, it changes color from grayish-blue to black.

Preparation of the base: the base must be clean, firm, degreased. Fill cracks, seams, depressions and other defects with a solid cement mixture. Small cracks do not need to be puttyed. The surface can be rough: it is not recommended to plaster plaster, plasterboard panels. The inner and outer corners must be rounded. If the surface is prone to cracking, the entire surface or known critical areas, as well as corners where rounding is not possible (partitions, wall and floor joints, etc.), are reinforced using elastic PRO reinforcing tape. Surfaces that absorb water should be primed with 10-20% water-diluted HYDROISOLATE K1.

Working conditions: the temperature of the base and the environment during work and drying must not be lower than +5°C, the optimal working conditions are at a temperature of +20°C and 65% relative air humidity.

Usage: before use, mix HYDROISOLATE K1 well, do not dilute. Apply WATERPROOFING K1 to the corners and joints of different surfaces and press the PRO reinforcement tape to the still sticky surface. It is recommended to apply WATERPROOFING K1 on the surface 3-4 times. When applying the first layer, rub the HYDROISOLATION K1 into the surface strongly with a stiff brush, this is especially important when the waterproofing is applied on rough surfaces (plaster, concrete). Apply the next layers evenly in different directions with a soft brush or roller. The second layer can be applied at least 2 hours after the first layer has been applied, other layers can be applied no more than every 4 hours. You can glue ceramic tiles or put another coating on the formed and dried waterproofing after 16 hours. from the application of the last layer.

Drying time: at an air temperature of +20°C and a relative air humidity of 65%: the first layer dries for at least 2 hours, the second and subsequent layers - 4 hours.

Consumption: 0.7 - 1.5 kg/m² for three coats.

Cleaning tools: Rinse tools with water immediately after work.

Storage and transport conditions: at a temperature not lower than +5°C and not higher than +30°C in a tightly closed container. Protect from direct sunlight and freezing!

Environmental and occupational safety: Do not pour waterproofing into sewers, watercourses or soil. Try not to inhale the vapors. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. If swallowed, call a poison control and information office or seek medical attention immediately. Keep out of reach of children. EUH 208 - may cause an allergic reaction. Contains: 3(2H)-isothiazolone, 5-chloro-2-methyl- mixture with 2-methyl-3(2H)-isothiazolone, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one and 2-methyl-2H- isothiazol - 3-one.
